Grzegorz Niemczuk’s Chinese concerts

A prominent pianist, Grzegorz Niemczuk, will highlight the opening and closing ceremony of the 2nd edition of “Polish Circles of Art in China Festival”. The inaugural concert will take place on 4th December in Changsha, Hunan in the auditorium of the prestigious Hunan Normal University; while the closing concert will be performed on the 20th December in Beijing Concert Hall.
The programme consists mainly of Fryderyk Chopin music: his nocturnes, etudes, mazurkas and waltzes. The audience will also have a chance to hear the pieces of a popular Chinese composer Wang Jianzhong and a polonaise from the film “Pan Tadeusz – the Last Foray in Lithuania”.
Grzegorz Niemczuk belongs to the most active Polish classical pianists of the young generation. He has already enjoyed a successful career having performed worldwide over the past 12 years. He has travelled the world and given more than 400 recitals and concerts in 31 different countries on all 6 continents. Admired for his sensitivity, poetry, beautiful sound and passionate virtuosity he became a favorite with audiences and critics alike especially in Europe, Asia and South America.
Grzegorz Niemczuk is the prizewinner of more than 15 piano competitions, notably a winner of the 2013 International Carnegie Hall Concerto Debut Competition in New York City and the 40th National Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2010).
